Privacy Policy for Ready Set GT

Thank you for using Ready Set GT ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can manage your information.

Information We Collect

When you grant permission, our App collects the following information from your device:

• Push Notification Token: A unique, anonymous identifier generated by the push notification service (Expo) for your device. For more information about Expo's data practices, please see their Privacy Policy.
• Device Platform: The operating system of your device (e.g., iOS or Android).
• Notification Preferences: Your in-app alert settings — whether you have enabled race refresh alerts and time trial alerts, and the list of Legend Cars you have chosen to watch for stock alerts. These are stored with your anonymous push token so we only send you the notifications you asked for.
• App Version: The version of the App you are running, used to keep notifications compatible with your installed version.

We do not collect any other personal information, such as your name, email address, location, or device ID.

How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used exclusively to send you the push notifications you have opted into: weekly race updates, new time trial events, and stock alerts for Legend Cars on your watchlist. Your notification preferences determine which of these you receive; the device platform information ensures each notification is sent in the correct format.

Gran Turismo Integration

Ready Set GT is an unofficial companion app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Sony Interactive Entertainment or Polyphony Digital. To provide game statistics, the App requires you to log in to your PlayStation Network account via the official Gran Turismo website. When you do this:
Direct Login: You enter your credentials directly into the official PlayStation login page via a secure browser window.
Local Storage Only: The App saves the resulting tokens and session cookies to communicate with Gran Turismo game servers on your behalf. These tokens are stored securely on your device's Keychain.
No Transmission: Your username, password, and authentication tokens are never transmitted to our servers or any third-party servers. They remain strictly on your device.
Usage: These tokens are used solely to fetch your personal game statistics (such as Driver Rating, Sportsmanship Rating, and stats) from the official game API.

Data Collection and Usage
Personal Game Data: Game statistics retrieved from PlayStation servers are processed locally on your device to display your progress. We do not collect, store, or analyze this data on our own servers.
Authentication Data: Session tokens are stored locally to maintain your login state. You may log out at any time, which will immediately delete these tokens from your device.

Third-Party Services

The App interacts with services provided by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Your use of the PlayStation Network is subject to Sony's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review their policies to understand how your data is managed by them.

Data Storage and Security

The collected data is stored on a secure backend hosted on Microsoft Azure. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect this information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with any third parties.

Data Retention

Push notification tokens and the preferences stored with them are kept only as long as you remain opted in to notifications. If you opt out or uninstall the app, your token and its associated preferences will be deleted from our database within 30 days. Delivery failures for uninstalled devices are detected automatically and those records are removed. All stored tokens are subject to regular review and secure deletion.

Your Data Protection Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

We are committed to ensuring you have control over your information.

• Right to Access & Deletion: Since we only store an anonymous token and the preferences attached to it, you can effectively delete your information by reinstalling the app or clearing app data, which generates a new token.
• Right to Opt-Out: You can opt-out of push notifications at any time by disabling notification permissions for the Ready Set GT app in your device's system settings. You can also turn individual alert types on or off, and add or remove watched Legend Cars, at any time within the App.
• Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.

Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from them.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
